Hello, Jennifer Can you share the beginning of your career journey and how it led to the founding of JMB Project Management?
“Thank you very much for this opportunity to share my inception story and the lessons I have learned throughout my journey; some of them will always be close to my heart. My career began in Australia, where I worked as a legal secretary while pursuing my Bachelor of Business. This foundational experience helped me develop attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills. In 2006, my career took a significant turn when I became CIO at The O2 in London, overseeing IT infrastructure and managing large-scale entertainment events. This role sharpened my ability to lead teams and navigate complex projects. After returning to Australia, I took on leadership roles at Queensland Health and eHealth NSW, where I spearheaded digital transformation projects.
In 2021, I moved to Saudi Arabia to contribute to the visionary NEOM project, which ultimately inspired me to create JMB Project Management. Headquartered in Dubai, JMB Project Management is a leading firm that provides tailored solutions across industries like smart mobility, healthcare, retail, and entertainment. “Launching JMB Project Management in the UAE presented a unique set of challenges for me, particularly in understanding and aligning with local business practices and regulations. I had to build strong relationships with local stakeholders and navigate complex regulatory environments. The key to overcoming these challenges was my persistence and finding the right local partners who could guide me through the intricacies of doing business in the Middle East.
To aspiring leaders, my advice is simple: embrace change, stay curious, and always lead with integrity.
