Edition – Shaping the Future: Leaders Making a Difference in 2025 – Vol. 1

You cannot lead in 2025 the way you did just 10 years ago,” says Dr. Omar Fisher. “Rapid-fire technology has rewritten the rules of business, finance, identity, and value creation. The old playbook—working harder, pushing numbers, pleasing stakeholders, maximizing profit—is broken. A new playbook is emerging, which demands two things: Higher Consciousness—the ability to lead with emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and clarity of purpose; and Digital Mastery—the skills and mindset to navigate Digital Money$ systems such as blockchain, tokens, central bank digital currencies (CBDC), chatbots, and more.”

Featured in CEO Scoop Magazine’s special edition Shaping the Future: Leaders Making a Difference in 2025 – Vol. 1, Dr. Fisher stands out as a visionary leader in business, finance, and innovation—empowering leaders, shaping startups, and redefining finance worldwide.

A globally recognized management consultant, educational planner, author, and entrepreneur, Dr. Fisher combines strategic insight, innovative thinking, and authentic leadership to deliver transformative results. As an author and inventor, he has written influential works including Conscious Wealth and Becoming a Conscious Leader – gateway to the 5th Dimension, while creating educational tools like MoneyPAL and the Asset Allocation Game to make financial intelligence engaging and accessible.

As a mentor and entrepreneur, he has guided innovators at Impact HUB, Tech Stars, and GLEAC, and co-founded multiple successful startups across the USA, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and UAE.

Inception story

Dr. Omar Fisher

When I’m asked about the start of my career, I smile, remembering the moments that shaped my path. As a teenager, I taught tennis and sailing lessons to my peers and even went scuba diving to hand-catch lobsters for sale to neighbors—experiences that sparked my entrepreneurial mindset early on.

Growing up, my father always told me, “Add value to others, then do business.” Upon arriving at Yale University, another stage of my journey began. I majored in literature and was drawn to the rhythm of words, but I soon realized poetry alone wouldn’t sustain the style of life I envisioned. That curiosity led me into the world of business—first consulting, then international finance.

In the late 1970s, I was invited as one of the first 54 Americans to exchange-study in the People’s Republic of China, not long after Mao Zedong had stepped aside. My visits to Thailand and India on my return forged unforgettable experiences that anchored my multi-cultural and global perspective. Later, at the University of Dublin in Ireland, I earned a Master’s in Education, delving into cognitive learning theories and statistics. I then pursued a Master’s in Science of Management at the Arthur D. Little School (today Hult International Business School), which unlocked a consulting career and sent me to Cairo, Egypt for two years. To inspire my children and demonstrate my own passion for lifelong learning, I earned a Ph.D. in Management Philosophy (Takaful,2005), focusing on financial performance and the risk-sharing model of Islamic mutual insurance.

One role that decisively shaped my career was a decade at OPIC in Washington, D.C., where I held a diplomatic passport and supported 126 investment projects in 23 countries, stimulating over 20,000 jobs by designing finance tools and political risk protections for small and medium U.S. enterprises expanding abroad. Later, I co-founded pioneering ventures that raised over $70 million to support equipment leasing and Takaful, bringing Shariah-compliant financial tools to 10 startups in both the U.S. and the Gulf region.

Looking back, I can see clear patterns: I am drawn to spaces and ventures where new models are needed—whether in financing, Islamic banking, mindfulness, or now in digital money education. I have been an understudy to many mentors from afar. From Jack Canfield, I learned one lesson I still carry with me: “Always take 100% responsibility—for yourself and your actions.”

What drives a man in his 70s—after decades of pioneering Islamic finance, raising millions in capital, and teaching across continents—to start again, this time focusing on Conscious Leadership and Digital Money$?

For Dr. Omar, the answer is clear: a powerful commitment to creating a lasting legacy. His motivations include:

As Dr. Omar explains, “I try to be two steps ahead, not to outpace others, but to light the path. My goal is to leave behind Conscious Leaders who can navigate the invisible realms, with heart and with wisdom.”

Long-Term Goals and Future Vision

Dr. Omar envisions AbundanceLearning.com (ALC) as a global hub for Conscious Wealth Education. By 2030, his goal is to reach one million learners—from teenagers to CEOs—through ALC’s games, courses, and masterclasses. By 2050, he imagines a world where digital money systems are not only efficient but also ethical, transparent, and regenerative. In his view, Digital Money$ holds the key to new methods of exchanging human value creation.

Recognizing that impact requires consistent action, Dr. Omar has set clear long-term goals:

As Dr. Omar puts it:
“The 21st CE measure of success is not just revenue, size of wallet, or market share—it is how many people are awakened to their fullest potential using a conscious, aligned relationship with finance and money.”

Sources of Inspiration

Faith has always been the cornerstone of Dr. Omar’s life and work. Daily prayer and meditation provide him with guidance, clarity, and calm. At the same time, the perennial study of sacred texts—the Bible, the Qur’an, and the Bhagavad Gita—reminds him to radiate love and uphold principled values such as fairness, transparency, and mutual trust. These spiritual practices have deeply influenced his approach to business, finance, and investments.

Dr. Omar also draws inspiration from modern teachers of personal development, including Jim Rohn, Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor, Tony Robbins, and Jennifer Hough. Their teachings have reinforced his belief that true transformation as a leader occurs from the inside out.

Family is another enduring source of strength. As a father of four “amazing young leaders,” Dr. Omar views mentorship as both a personal and professional responsibility—one that shapes his legacy as much as his work.

Recognitions and Accreditations

Over the course of his career, Dr. Omar has earned numerous awards and recognitions, establishing a well-deserved global reputation for bridging finance, leadership, and spiritual consciousness.

These milestones are more than badges of honor; they reflect Dr. Omar’s lifelong commitment to integrating ethics, innovation, and impact.

“Profit is not the enemy. Profit maximization over people is. Conscious Wealth is built when people are put first and both risk and reward are shared fairly.” —Dr. Omar

Obstacles and Lessons Learned

No career spanning four decades is without obstacles. I vividly remember the challenges of introducing Takaful in the U.S. and Gulf markets in the 1990s and 2000s. Most people didn’t understand the model. Regulators were skeptical. Capital raising was unpopular and extremely difficult. Yet I persisted, because I believed—and still believe—that risk-sharing, rather than risk-transfer, is not only financially sound but also ethically necessary.

Like many entrepreneurs, I have also faced betrayals from partners, embezzlement of investments, and even outright theft of gold assets meant for retirement. Such events can either take you down or fortify your resilience. I chose the latter.

Another obstacle has been the skepticism around digital money. While some view digital currencies as speculative, scams, or even sinful, I see Digital Money$ as a powerful opportunity. My challenge has been to educate leaders that, although risks do exist, the shift to invisible money is inevitable. Ignoring it is perilous; preparing for it with technical knowledge, informed confidence, and spiritual wisdom is essential.

The most challenging obstacles, I’ve learned, are often inner ones—self-doubt, fear of failure, or the temptation to compromise values. But every time I return to inner coherence between heart and mind, clarity emerges and the path forward becomes clear.
